About
Latency Lab is an independent site about gaming connections: what makes them unstable, how to prove where the problem is, and when it is worth paying to change your route.
What we do
- Run a free browser test for latency, jitter, timeout samples and latency under load.
- Publish fix guides that start with the free checks and only then discuss paid tools.
- Publish the method behind every number we show, including its limits.
What we deliberately do not do
- We do not claim to measure your in-game ping, FPS or hardware performance.
- We do not publish ratings for products we have not tested.
- We do not sell placements, and we do not rank products by commission.
How the site is funded
Through affiliate commissions on some of the tools we recommend, and nothing else. Read the affiliate disclosure for the specifics, including why a commission cannot buy a recommendation here.
The name
Latency Lab is a working title. It is a project name, not a brand we are building around a single product — the whole point of the site is that the answer to "should you buy this?" is sometimes no.
